Chasing a love story…

Why we get connected to a love story more easily than the tragedy stories while reading books.
We often buy books online and read most of the time, reading is irrespective of the genre but majority of the readers, get connected to the love stories more easily than any others. It is also one of the reasons that romance is the genre where maximum number of fiction books are written. Can’t believe? Browse any online bookstore and you will be startled to find it, as a fact.
We actually chase happiness, we try to find it in these books, or we sometimes, empathize, sometimes relate to the incidents and smile on our own when we are reading these love stories. Though it is rightly quoted by Mandy Hale, that, “Happiness doesn't have to be chased...it merely has to be chosen.”
But books actually either take us away from our world or take us to our past. And this is the fact that they generate so much interest. It is an age old saying that ‘Past is always beautiful, present toughest and future scary’, books mostly take us to our past, thus giving that dose of happiness which we lack in our life.
Look, try to recall all of us must have noticed it atleast once, while reading a love story we end up remembering our ex-lovers! This happens despite the fact that we have moved on long ago, and are already in another stable and happy relationships. This is the magic of books.
Never ever a human life is complete, this is a fact, if the life comes to a satisfaction level, and we will eventually lose interest in it. And it is those things, that we feel we lack or we lacked or we wish to happen, that we try to find in the books. Humans are very emotional and social species, we depend on our emotions to reach out to people. Psychologists have put up several theories on powers of our mind.
Even when we buy books online, we browse online bookstores, go through several books and ultimately try to zero in on the book, which we believe will relate most to us.
To sum up, it is basically ourselves, our past, our future that we are chasing while we are reading books.
TO END UP: Forget all this crap ;) go ahead buy books online and read.
Happy Reading!
